I grew up in a small town in Central New York State surrounded by green rolling hills and trees, lakes and streams.  This natural beauty has always been a source of peace, which I hope to portray in my paintings. I have a particular fondness for animals, whose innate sweetness and character inspire me. 

 

​After receiving a degree in education and art, I taught for seven years, then moved to Seattle where I painted nature illustrations for Mountaineers Books Publishing, as well as commissioned paintings. My work is published in several books, as well as numerous nature guides, and as a finalist winner in Art Magazine's Animal art category.

Since moving back home to Central New York, I continue to paint landscapes and commissioned animal art.
